I was very excited to hear that Samantha Parkington, my favorite doll in the American Girl Series, was coming out of retirement this fall. The piece of news I found most fretting was the, "Changes will be made." I am happy to find that Samantha is still the curly, brown-haired doll as she has always been with that long hair. And, she has new outfits and accessories for doll lovers to purchase. Of course, this makes her traditional outfits of the 1990s and 2000s that more valuable. You can still purchase these items on eBay if you missed out on some of her collectibles. But, I do enjoy the new collection of dresses that American Girl has come up with. The only set back was that she does not have an outfit that comes with a Pinafore anymore like all of her collections had in the past.
