Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving

Many of you have probably seen the Ball Blue Book Guide to Canning, but if you are a devoted food preserver like myself, you will want to invest in a copy of the Complete Book of Home Preserving. This book has 400 canning recipes, gives you detailed instructions for all types of canning for the beginners and also tips for the experienced canners.

These recipes have also been tested and written in accordance with the safe canning practices. I know there are a lot of recipes on the Internet that you can follow, but everyone has their own style of canning. The trick is knowing which style is the correct and most safe to follow. Ball takes the guesswork out of that by providing all the recipes you will need from cocktail sauce to ketchup, relishes to pickles, jams to jellies, and soups to canned veggies and everything in-between.

I have already used several recipes from this book and shared many with family and friends. All of our items have turned out perfect and I even won champion, reserve champion, and first place ribbons on my canning projects at the county fair by following these recipes. For my first time canning, that was amazing! But, it just goes to show that these are winning recipes that you can follow and trust.
