It's not Christmas yet!

Have you been walking around the house seeing Christmas carols? My family has been doing that, especially after all the snow we got this past week. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" outside and "Baby it's cold outside" really, really cold. But, I am not ready to go "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" just yet. I think we all miss out on those beautiful Thanksgiving songs that get passed over when the majority of people hop from halloween to Christmas.

Yes, those Thanksgiving songs! Most of you are probably like what songs are those? Well here is a whole playlist I created of some of my favorite Thanksgiving day songs along with theme music to play during your dinner feast. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbfnUtUVrEFoh35lZvnbCowO68BGGNf1y

Some songs listed are:

  • We Gather Together by Paul McCandless
  • When Cheer Fills The Hearts of My Friends by Square Check Tune
  • There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays by The Carpenters (Yes, this is a Thanksgiving song not Christmas!)
  • Thanksgiving by George Winston
  • Over the Rive and Through the Woods from Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
  • Thanksgiving Theme by Vince Guaraldi Trio
  • Come Ye Thankful People a Christian Hymn
  • All Creatures of Our God and King by Tenore
  • I've Got Plenty to Be Thankful For by Bing Crosby
  • Count Your Blessings (Instead of Sheep) by Bing Crosby
  • Thankful by Josh Groban
  • Give Thanks a Christian Hymn
There are more on my playlist, but just do a search for Thanksgiving songs and you will be surprised at how many you can come up with. Also, the Thanksgiving mood music comes in many styles if you do a quick search on YouTube. You can find hours of continuous soothing music to help fill in those uncomfortable quiet moments between conversations at the dinner table. Hey, this might also help you create a conversation starter and help you be the perfect host you always wanted to be!

So, get into some Thanksgiving cheer when you are busy preparing a meal in the kitchen and sing to your hearts delight! Christmas will come soon enough to hum those melodies.
